There is a lot of effort that goes in to writing a novel. Whether it is to pursue a hobby or to gain an income, there are some helpful processes that writers can follow. We ensure that your journey goes as smoothly as possible, so you don’t give up, and you achieve your ultimate goals.

Nurturing Authors at Every Stage of the Writing Cycle

The process of writing a novel is flexible and will be different for every writer and every story. However the elements remain the same. Novel Suite ensures you can complete this cycle by providing comprehensive services at every stage.  

We break the journey into five stages:

Planning

Our strategy is to break the story into manageable steps that help you plan in stages. Keeping an even pace throughout events without losing momentum. During this period we recommend using our free Novel Planner and Checklist to keep your ideas collated and on track.  

It is also a good time to become familiar with the Novel Board in our software. This is becoming increasingly popular in its value for guiding the process and keeping all of your information readily visible. Of course, you can also feel free to email us a question, or join the conversation on any of our social media pages.

Drafting

The initial draft is very exploratory. The process enables the true story to emerge and will cause a shift in some of your plans. Generally speaking, the production of the draft will be the most time-consuming phase of the journey, usually taking around six months or more. Using a program like the Novel Suite software pays off during this stage. Having your work on hand wherever you are can certainly accelerate your progress.  

We recommend an early intervention during this stage. Many authors find this can save huge amounts of effort by incorporating feedback into their work before investing too much time.

Editing

During this time it is crucial that you stay on track and sculpt your novel into the art form you intend to create. Novel Suite will be behind you the entire way. We offer professional services for copy editing, proof reading and manuscript assessment should you feel you would benefit from them at any time.

Publication

Becoming a published author is thought to be the end goal for writers. However, adequate promotion of a book is necessary for it to compete in the modern publishing marketplace.  

Novel Suite assists authors to promote their books by developing platforms. These include author websites, social media channels, advertising and other promotional campaigns.

When it comes to publishing in the modern world, Novel Suite is on the pulse. We understand that processes are evolving rapidly within the publishing space and it is important to be well informed.
